Leading and Doing: Notes From Running a Small Design Studio

Running a small design studio often means being both the person making decisions and the one doing the actual work. There’s no clear handoff between “leading” and “doing”—you’re just constantly shifting between roles depending on what’s needed that day. Over time, you get used to the pace, but it does take some adjustment.
